The thinking behind it all….. Well, simple really, we never intended it to get this big. The whole project is about getting an alternative angle on local news. So far we think we have achieved this but what we didn’t bargain for is the sheer number of supporters and readers. In April we hit 40,000 page impressions with 1500 unique visitors… and there goes the trumpet blowing…
Anyhow, the Knutsford Times is about citizen powered news with people doing the reporting and locals providing news items that we then turn into positive uplifting stories. We use professional feature writers to build articles that engage wider audiences and draw greater traffic for the site and its advertisers. The advertisers fees cover any costs such as hosting space, professional writing services and legal support.
